Why speak about your miscarriage? Why say your daughters name who was born still? Many mothers don’t speak about the fact they had a miscarriage or a stillbirth. They keep silent in order to make others comfortable. But the silence only further stigmatizes pregnancy and infant loss. So why speak your truth? Speak about it so you can keep your baby’s memory alive. Speak about it so another mother who thinks she’s alone realizes she isn’t. Speak about it so the world understands that 1 in 4 is not just a statistic; it’s you. And finally, speak about it so people can support you. If no one knows you lost, you won’t get texts like this one that I got today. This text made me feel seen. It made me feel loved. And most importantly, it honoured my angel babies. Just because people never got a chance to meet these babies doesn’t mean the world shouldn’t acknowledge that they were once here. Or that they were real.————————–Today is pregnancy and infant loss awareness day. Text a mother who has lost. It will mean everything ?#ihadamiscarriage #iam1in4 #pregnancyandinfantlossawarenessday #notalone #supported #miscarriage #stillbirth #infantloss #lifecoach #doula #speakyourtruth
